What does Anne Fine like best about writing?
I love the sheer addictiveness of the job. Out of nowhere, you feel a sort of nudge inside your brain, and it's 'Oh, right, So that's what I'm going to write about next.
Anne always loved writing as a child but never thought she would become one professionally and it wasn’t until after she had her first child in 1971 that she put pen to paper. Since then she hasn’t stopped and has now published over 40 titles.
Of her Guest Editor choices Anne says "Favourite books have to bear being read again and again – both when you’re a child, and when you’re an adult reading to children. So the one thing that all my choices have in common is that they have a depth and richness and humour that somehow keeps them ever-fresh."
