Julia Eccleshare's comment:
A delightful romp of a novel provides a charming, witty and fanciful period background to the life of Jane Austen. Observed and written as a ‘secret diary’ by Jane’s cousin and companion Jenny, the book charts the ups and downs of the girls’ love affairs, the dramas of balls and sociable outing in fashionable Bath as well as Jane’s own accounts which show how she might make use of all this material in her future classic novels.
Cora Harrison is also the author of I was Jane Austen's Best Friend.

But a good reputation, once lost, is gone forever; and Jane is in danger of becoming the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons...
