The Lovereading comment:
If you've not yet been introduced to this brilliant pony-mad series then this book is the perfect one to begin with. It contains the first three Tilly's Pony Tails stories. Pony mad youngsters aged 6 or 7 upwards will love them. Action-packed but quite short they are a great way for getting reluctant readers into reading. In addition to the great stories there are also plenty of facts about keeping ponies from probably one of the most outstanding event riders this country has ever seen, Pippa Funnell.
Here is some recent praise from pony-mad youngsters:
'When I read Black Beauty I thought that was good, but this is even better' - Emily Cooper
I recommend Magic Spirit to people who are pony mad. I loved it and I think other people will too' - Megan MacDuff
'I love horses so I like reading about them as well. This book is the best book in the whole world' - Pandora Ross
A message from Pippa Funnell, champion rider, Olympic Medallist and Grand Slam winner:
"When I wrote my autobiography I never imagined that I would find myself writing children’s books just 3 years later. Much of my thinking about Tilly has been done out loud in front of family, friends and godchildren – thank you all for listening. But, more than anything I have to acknowledge my four-legged friends – my horses. It is thanks to them, that I was able to create a girl, Tilly, who like me follows her passions."
