The Lovereading comment:
Girls FC is a series that has filled a gap brilliantly for the ever increasing numbers of football mad girls aged 7-11. Narrated by 10 year old midfielder Jenny-Jane Bayliss the book is packed full of football and friendship. The Parrs Under 11s kick off their second season but Jenny-Jane isn’t happy, she’s fed up of everyone getting at her, especially her horrible family. All she wants to do is play football – why can’t they just leave her alone?
A message from Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson‘This book makes football a fun activity that isn’t just for boys and I hope reading the series will encourage more girls to get involved in sport from an early age’
