The Lovereading comment:

Weird Street is a terrific little four book series that will get 6-9 year old boys (in particular) and girls really reading and enjoying the experience.  Weird Street is on Johnny's paper round, a bizarre, scary and extremely unusual paper round, where he meets and befriends a whole range of oddballs and mysterious neighbours.  The books are wonderfully imaginative and best of all, particularly for the reluctant reader, quite short.

Check out the first in the Weird Street series - The Curse of Captain Cross-eye.

Perfect for Reluctant Readers as well as keen readers.  To view other titles we think are suitable for reluctant readers please click here.

Synopsis

Weird Street: The Treasure Of Mr Tipp by Margaret Ryan

The paper boys on Weir Street don't normally stick around for long. It's definitely weirder than your average street. Jonny has already encountered the pirate at number 13 but there are some even stranger people in Weird Street. Like Mr Tipp at 34 and a half.

When Jonny ventures into Mr Tipp's house, he finds it full of strange inventions and ingenious uses for everyone else's junk. The Weird Street mini-series follows Jonny on his bizzare, scary and extremely unusual paper round, where he bumps into a whole range of oddballs and mysterious neighbours.
